This weekend, Trócaire’s Communication Officer Mr. Eoghan Rice spoke at weekend Masses in Barntown Church, Co Wexford. He was one of 10 representatives of Trócaire who visited churches in the Diocese of Ferns to say a word of gratitude for the €170,000 raised in the Nepal Appeal earlier this year; to thank locals for their ongoing support of Lenten campaigns and to highlight the recent papal encyclical on climate change, Laudato Si issued by Pope Francis.

Last year Trócaire helped over 2 million people worldwide and this huge effort was made possible by the contributions of congregations such as exist in Barntown.
