The Awards Night for the Pope John Paul II Participants took place on Wednesday the 10th of November in St Aidan’s Cathedral, Enniscorthy.  Forty-five young people from the Diocese received their Awards from  Bishop Ger Nash and their respective Award Co-Ordinators.  8 Schools in total were represented on the night with students receiving Bronze, Silver and Gold Awards.  7 Students who were successful in achieving the Gold Award last year went on to receive the Papal Award this year representing both Loreto Wexford and St Peters College Wexford.

Bishop Ger Nash was the key note speaker on the night followed by representatives of Papal Cross participants; Robin Jowett and Katie Beth Gaynor.

As part of Robin Jowett’s Papal Cross Project he developed a webpage dedicated to St Joseph for the year of St Joseph.  It was tremendous work and well done to Robin.  The link to the page can be sourced here: The Year of St Joseph

Well done also to the Papal Cross students from Loreto Wexford who achieve a virtual pilgrimage during lockdown along with a valuable  amount of work for their parishes and schools.

Well done to all Award Co-Ordinators and all participants.  You did you schools and parishes proud!!
