Ferns CAFÉ (Catholic Adult Formation and Education) is a newly formed group of adults who meet monthly to discuss and reflect upon their Christian faith and how that faith can contribute to peace and justice in the modern world. On Tuesday, 9th December in the Riverside Park Hotel, Enniscorthy, Co. Wexford at 8pm there will be a public talk held entitled ‘Gaza: an Irish response’. This talk will look back on the recent conflict in Gaza that claimed so many lives and explore how the Christmas message of peace is still a real hope in the land where Christ was born over 2,000 years ago. Speakers on the night are Mr. Garry Walsh, Trócaire’s Programme Officer for Israel and former national coordinator of the Ireland-Palestine Solidarity Campaign; Sr Fatima Rodrigo, a Presentation Sister from India who has worked at the United Nations for over 5 years; Fr Billy Swan, C.C., St Aidan’s Cathedral, Enniscorthy. All are welcome.Gaza Poster
