A Doctorate in Philosophy, honoris causa, was awarded to the Congregational Leader of the Sisters of Mercy by way of honouring the immense contribution of that entire congregation to the mission of the Church both in Ireland and abroad.
The Pontifical University at St. Patrick’s College Maynooth hosted the ceremony on Monday 3rd October, to mark the ‘Year of Mercy’.
